Hotel Monthly: Boston/Nine Zero
By Tara Jacobs

Boston/Nine Zero Hotel located at 90 Tremont Street in the heart of Boston

Nestled in the heart of Boston, steps from the Boston Common and along the Freedom Trail, the Nine Zero Hotel is a rare find. The Nine Zero extends unparalleled hospitality in a sleek, modern setting.

The Nine Zero is unlike any other hotel in Boston. As the first modern lodging choice in the city, it delivers a setting that is at once stylish and comfortable. With attention to detail, the hotel marries streamlined chrome, stainless steel, nickel and glass with the warmth of wood, color accents and lighting design. The resulting environment is a serene and welcoming sanctuary from the bustling city outside.

Yet it is the quality of the staff and service that truly sets this hotel apart. The staff is both efficient and friendly, immediately setting guests at ease with their calm and welcoming demeanor. Personal attention is taken to new heights, with a host of services aimed at ensuring that each guest's stay is as comfortable as possible.

In advance of arrival, the mini-bar has been stocked with a personalized selection of beverages and snacks that match each guest's personal preferences. Along with the room service menu, available 24 hours a day, is a Pillow Menu from which guests can order the pillows of their choice from a selection that includes exotic water-base and magnetic pillows as well as buckwheat and spinal support options, to name a few.

It seems they've thought of everything necessary for their guests' comfort and enjoyment. From the sumptuous bed, featuring Frette Linens and a goose down comforter, to the lush Mario Russo bath products, the extensive CD music library, and fresh Karma Coffee, each item is selected for its comfort, quality, and taste.

Rooms are equipped with all the necessities as well as many niceties including iron and board, hair dryer, coffee maker, CD player, in-room safe, bathrobes, and, of course, the fully-stocked personalized mini-bar. In addition, each of the 190 rooms features a full work station complete with complimentary high-speed Internet access, Cat5 cable, task lighting, and Freedom high performance desk chairs.

The delights don't end there. The Nine Zero Hotel features French-inspired, gourmet wonders, elegantly presented in its second floor restaurant, Spire. Fitness-conscious guests can exercise complementary at either the hotel's well-equipped Fitness Center or at the full-service Boston Sports Club, located immediately behind the hotel, for $10/day. And those seeking the full luxury experience can avail themselves of a personal shopper or massage in the salon.
